Welcome

Hey, I’m Ruby

Compassionate Horsewoman. Certified Horse Nerd. Holistic Equine Naturopath in training. Sharing my joy of collaborating with horses.

IT WAS NEVER JUST A PHASE…

Ever since I can remember, I have loved horses.

By the age of 6, you couldn’t pull me away from horses if you tried.

I started riding lessons and my love for horses continued to grow.

MY FIRST HORSE

After years of a horse at the top of every Christmas list, my dream came true.

At 13 years old I was the proud owner of my own horse: An underweight, giveaway, ex race horse. Perfect first horse right?

I discovered natural horsemanship and started exploring classical dressage through Ecole de Légèreté with my first horse and trained in this way for 4 years.

In my final year of school I dedicated my final yearlong project to exploring the wellbeing of my first horse. I wanted to see how I could naturally influence his quality of life, supporting him holistically, inline with his biology.

Unfortunately his health deteriorated that year. His beginning in the racing system hadn't honoured his biological requirements and he lost his life because if it.

His tragic story and the heartbreak of losing him is just one reason why I’m so passionate about revolutionising the way humans understand and care for horses.

After losing my first horse I went on to buy 2 young horses, my dream horses.

The only catch? One of them was so traumatised and terrified of humans, you couldn’t get close enough for a pat.

I had zero experience with difficult and dangerous horses, but I was determined to make it work.

Everything felt impossible.

He couldn’t be caught. He’d explode at the lightest pressure, Doing anything with him was unpredictable and honestly… terrifying.

THE ONE WHO CHANGED IT ALL

I felt like I was failing him.

The methods I’d been taught— pressure and control, “don’t let him get away with it”weren’t working anymore.

So I changed…

I dove into positive reinforcement, which evolved into a consent-based approach.

And slowly… everything shifted.

My horses trotted over to the halter, I started one under saddle with their enthusiastic consent, and they truly came out of their shell.

WHERE I AM NOW

I’ve continued my studies and expanded my knowledge. I’ve gone on to earn a double certification in bodywork, and am continuing my studies in equine herbal medicine and nutrition (a horse naturopath in training)—all to support the holistic health of every horse I can.

Since transforming my own horses, I’ve gone on to train, provide treatment for, and support horses for local clientsAnd now I’m ready to bring my integrative approach to the world.

I’m currently accepting new clients for both online and in person coaching and training support.
